FAQ

 Q. What time do the doors open?

Doors open at 9.15 in the morning (from 9.00am if paying for early drop off) and then at 12.15pm and 12.45pm (if staying for lunch) for collection

. Finally again at 14.15 for end of day collection.

 Q. What should my child wear?

We recommend easy fastening clothes and preferably no belts around trousers as this makes independent toileting and changing easier for our young children. Children may get dirty if playing outside or get paint or glue on their clothes so preferably not new clothes.  Footwear should be closed toed shoes, boots, plimsolls or trainers. Trinity t-shirts and sweatshirts are available to buy from the pre-school. Please ensure all your child’s clothing is clearly named

 Q. What is your late policy?

Children can easily become distressed when they have not been collected and staff are not paid to care for children ‘after hours’. We have a legal limit on how many children we can care for at any one time and we plan staffing according to numbers of children booked in.  In line with Hampshire pre-schools and nurseries, we have a fine system for late collection as follows:

If the setting is closed:

Up to 15 minutes late:          £5.00
15 – 30 minutes late:           £10.00
30 – 45 minutes late:           £25.00
45 – 60 minutes late:           £30.00

If we are still open:

Up to 15 minutes late:          £3.00
15 – 30 minutes late:           £5.00
30 – 45 minutes late:           £18.00
45 – 60 minutes late:           £25.00

 Q. What should I do if my child is ill?

In order that all of the children and staff enjoy better health and ultimately lose fewer days at pre-school, Parents are asked to keep their children at home if they have any infection or illness and to inform the pre-school by telephone ( 01329 60 80 90) or email (trinitypreschoolunder5s@gmail.com) as to the nature of the illness.  This will ensure the pre-school can alert other parents (if required) and make careful observations of any child who seems unwell. Parents are asked not to bring into the pre-school any child who has been vomiting or had diarrhoea until at least 48 hours has elapsed since the last attack and have passed a hard stool.  If your child has a temperature, please do not bring him/her into pre-school for a minimum of 48 hours after it has diminished.  Our policy on Health and Safety and Sickness is available with all other policy documents in the foyer
